Norwich Township works closely with the Franklin County Engineer's office to tour and inspect township roads and to identify/fulfill maintenance needs. By law, the County Engineer serves as engineer for the townships. The County Engineer bids for maintenance services. Funds are provided through gasoline taxes and motor vehicle license fees. In addition, Norwich Township provides snow removal, road drainage and signage for all Township roads.
Norwich Township partners with other townships, Franklin County and the Franklin Soil and Water Conservation District to meet the requirements of the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Phase II Storm Water Program.
Norwich Township Roads Department consists of 4 full-time employees, totaling over 60 years of service. Offices for the Roads Department are located at the Wesley Chapel Cemetery, 3225 Dublin Road, and are open Monday – Friday from 7:30AM – 4:00PM. To contact the Roads Department, call (614) 876-2236.
