History Walk Video

Norwich Township concluded its Bicentennial Celebration on Sunday, October 13, 2013 with a History Walk held at Wesley Chapel Cemetery.  Since the Cemetery contains so much of our history by being the final resting place of our Township's past residents, we felt it was the appropriate place to culminate our celebration.

Our gratitude goes to the talented actors of the Hilliard Arts Council that portrayed notable past residents such as Businessman & Township Clerk Arch Alder, Martha Brown, wife of Farmer James Brown, Historian Mary Weaver Miller and Dr. James W. Reason that are buried at the Cemetery.

A mock funeral was held honoring Methodist Pastor Albert Noethlich.  Brother Brian, aka Fire Fighter Brian Davis, officiated the funeral and a Bagpipe performance by talented Fire Fighter Mike Reiterman.

Cemetery Sexton at the time, Steve Montgomery and Cemetery employee Robbie Thomas were on hand to answer questions for the many visitors that attended this event.  The Township appreciates the meticulous care and hard work that all of the Township Cemetery employees give year round to maintain the cemetery.

The History Walk was filmed by Travis Williams a Hilliard Davidson High School Student.
