Thoburn Road is a residential roadway that is also the main entryway leading to the Indian Village Outdoor Education Center and the OSU Boathouse. Because of heavy traffic, the roadway is in need of major improvements. This project includes a total full depth replacement with drainage and widening of the road. It will also include curbs on the residential side and speed humps.
More information on OPWC: OPWC provides financing for local public infrastructure improvements through both the State Capital Improvement Program (SCIP) and the Local Transportation Improvement Program (LTIP). SCIP is a grant/loan program for roads and bridges only. The programs run concurrently.
