Mosquito Spraying Season Information
Franklin County Public Health has created a very user-friendly Mosquito Dashboard on their website that can help you navigate your concerns through this season. The dashboard includes information on Prevention, links to Request Service, Spray Schedules and Do Not Spray Requests. You can also check on Trap and West Nile Virus data.
FCPH notifies Norwich Township when spraying is necessary in our neighborhoods and that information is always posted on our website and on our social media sites. Please check these sites as well as myfcph.org for details.
When FCPH determines spraying is necessary, it is typically scheduled around sunset and continues for several hours. Typically bees are less active at this time and aren't affected by the application. However, FCPH obtains a list of all currently registered apiaries in Franklin County from the Ohio Department of Agriculture and include those in the Do Not Spray registry. To ensure your hives are not treated, please complete and submit a Do Not Spray form as a precautionary measure.
