Norwich Township Intersection Street Lighting
Over the years, the Trustees have received occasional requests for more lighting in some residential areas. Are you a homeowner whose property is at an intersection located in an unincorporated section of Norwich Township? If your property is at the corner of an intersection and you would like to have it considered for the placement of a light pole, you may fill out an application and return it to Norwich Township. Click here for the application.
- Per the application, property owners at all corners of the intersection must agree to the request, in order to be considered as an appropriate site.
- This is not a decorative streetlight, but a functional wood pole.
- The lease of the light is handled directly with the Township, but if AEP is unable to tie into an existing electric line in the location, one of the residents may need to agree to an easement allowing a 120V electric line to be run from their home to the pole. There is no charge to the homeowner on their monthly bill.
- AEP will inspect each site requested with the Township to determine if it is a suitable location.
